glass-fusing-and-glassblowing-kiln
This kiln, I think, is the most versatile kiln available. Front door works great for glassblowers, 12" bead mandrels can be placed in the 13" deep kiln, it can fuse a decent sized project and it runs on common house hold power, 120 volts, 20 amps. Electricity cost to run this kiln for one hour at half power is approximately 10 cents per hour. Dial control switch is included with this kiln. You can also purchase this kiln with a digital controller. This kiln is insulated with fiber. The element is buried in the wall, no exposed elements. This helps prevent risk of electrical shock for beadmakers or glassblowers. These kilns can also be used for beadmaking, marblemaking, glassblowing, art clay silver, ceramics (up to 1700 degrees F.), copper enameling, or many different uses.
Maximum temperature is 1700 degrees F.
All kilns should be kept at least 12" from any flammable materials.

Features

Paragon J-14-1
The J-14-1 is popular for heating jewelry molds. The kiln is made of ceramic fiber for fast heating and cooling. It has an infinite control switch and operates on 120 volts. Maximum temperature is 1700° F.

The J-14-1 comes with a built-in thermocouple (temperature sensor). An attachment block is mounted on the back of the furnace for easy hookup to a pyrometer or portable TNF2 controller.

The firing chamber is a one-piece ceramic fiber shell with embedded elements. For greater thermal efficiency, the space between the steel case and the ceramic fiber shell is filled with extra ceramic fiber insulation.

The J-14 comes with a vent hole and steel cover in the top and door. The door seals tightly with a heavy spring latch. The controls, located in the base, stay cool for long life. No extra stand is needed.

The J-14-1 is available with an optional wax tray for lost wax casting.
