Carbide Scoring Knifes

Carbide Scoring Kinives: CSP, #1567, #1422 to score and break glass rods and tubes.

Used to score and break a Glass Rod and Tube.
With some practice, you can score (scratch) the outside surface of a glass rod or tube, wet the score (some people use saliva) , which can then be snapped.

Graphite Carbon Rods Easy to shape by sanding to make your own specialized tools. Carve a design into the end to make a custom stamp impression tool. Push these round rods in to a glass pipe to make the bowl. Most ends are flat, a couple happen to have a tapered cone pointed end. Why Carbon? Most materials like metal will stick to molten glass. Carbon / Graphite has the unique property of not sticking to molten glass. It is the ideal material for pressing and shaping molten glass.

Locking Tube Clamp

Excellent tool to hold a tube. This hemostat has rounded clamping jaws to grasp a tube. Tool can then be locked which prevents hand fatigue when a piece needs to be held a long time.
