Kit #420 Basic
for Making Glass Pipes & Sculptures
This kit uses the two gas (oxygen and propane)
6B Torch by National.
See below if you want to change out the torch.
Everything you would need to make not only glass pipes but borosilicate
(Pyrex) sculptures, ornament, jars... etc. *You would still need to get your
Oxygen and Propane Gasses locally, Glass and Instruction (Video, Books or
Our Great Classes)
Just connect this torch to a BBQ type propane tank (you may have
one in your back yard) and to an oxygen tank. Most people rent this
oxygen tank at their local welding supply store. It might typically
cost $5 per month to rent the tank and about $15 to $35 each time
you have it refilled. Use this kit when you want to be assured that
you have the set of tools you need to make pipes.

Flashback Arrestors
Flashback Arrestors - This is not required to operate your torch. It is a recommended safety device. In some rare situations, a flame can travel back down a hose to the gas tank and cause an explosion. This device helps prevent this reverse gas flow and flashback. This device uses a reverse flow check valve and a flame arrestor that stops this flashback flame. Packaged and priced with both an oxygen and a propane arrestor. Gas flow is in one direction only. Arrow showing gas flow direction is stamped on the side of the flashback arrestor.

Oxygen Concentrator

Glass Rod RestsThis movable rod rest is used to support glass rods to keep them up off the flame worker's workbench for easier grabbing, better organization, and to keep the glass rods cleaner. The rippled edge keeps the rods from rolling around. These durable stainless steel rod holders can also be placed inside a glass bead kiln to support your mandrels.
