These color bars are manufactured by using dyes and pressed borosilicate powders, a process that was used decades ago in gun mount manufacturing. At that time, gun mount manufacturers made color coded borosilicate insulators for electronic guns in TV tubes, aka CRTs (cathode ray tubes.) The major TV set makers at the time, RCA, Philips/Magnavox, Zenith and Sony, used color coded green and white borosilicate bars which became known in our industry as the legendary dwarf colors. Competition from India and the advent of LCD screens led Corning to close their operation and prompted a shift of operations exclusively into the artistic borosilicate market. Once marketed under the names: Aardvark colors, Borobars, Boro Stix or Borostix, and Origin Glass. These are all the same glass as listed above!
