Gas Hose

Use this gas hose when you use a two gas torch (oxygen and propane). Acetylene gas is not used for melting glass.

This is a twin hose set, one for oxygen and one for propane. The oxygen hose is green and the propane hose is red. One end of the hose is attached to the gas regulators. The other end is attached to the torch. Most torches are attached to the hose by pushing the cut end (no brass fitting) onto the torch and securing with a hose clamp.

Propane hose fittings are always left handed threads and oxygen is right handed so there is never a mix-up attaching hoses. Notice a slot in the brass hex fittings on the gas hose. That indicates the threads are left handed. (Most everything is usually right handed threads). All fittings on the hose are brass and are female. The fittings are made for gas hose, they are not pipe threads. We carry adaptors that go from gas hose to pipe threads.

CAUTION - Do not use the easy to find oxygen/acetylene type hoses. The propane gas will rot them. The hoses we sell are special and are made for most types of gas including propane.
